Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as their squad valuation is contrasted to their Premier League position

A recent report claims that Leicester City manager Steve Cooper is getting more performance out of his team than the majority of other Premier League managers.

After five games this season, the Foxes are presently in 15th place in the standings. They have three draws to gain three points in the league, but they have yet to win a game.

Transfermarkt claims that City is outperforming and performing better than their squad valuation would indicate. To determine which Premier League teams are making the most use of their resources, Transfermarkt has compared the squad valuations of each team with their present standing in the table. Leicester is four spots higher in the real table despite having the 19th most expensive squad.

Following the summer transfer window, Transfermarkt assessed Cooper’s team at €263.9 million (£219 million). Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United are at the bottom of the list when it comes to underperforming relative to squad value. The gap between each team’s actual league place and squad value ranking is -6.
