Alumnus of Leeds United’s academy ‘open-minded’ about future amid ties to Everton and Aston Villa

After graduating from Leeds United’s academy, Kalvin Phillips is said to be flexible about his future plans, despite Everton and Aston Villa reportedly showing interest in the Manchester City midfield player.
Since Phillips’ high-profile move to Manchester City two years ago, his stock has dropped dramatically. Under Pep Guardiola, he had a difficult time getting playing time and struggled to find consistency when on loan at West Ham United the previous campaign.

Even though he has played in several preseason friendly for Manchester City, it doesn’t seem unlikely that he may look for fresh opportunities this summer. He has been connected to both Everton and Aston Villa in recent times.

in addition to from overseas. Galatasaray, on the Turkish side, is reportedly not one of his alternatives.

Regarding his future, Phillips is reportedly open-minded and hasn’t made any concrete decisions yet. Moving away from Manchester City would seem sense given that many starts at the Etihad Stadium don’t seem realistic.

On the flip side, a string of games played somewhere else might give the 28-year-old’s career new life. He has already proven that he can compete both for England at the international level and in the Premier League.

Due to Crysencio Summerville’s move to West Ham United, Daniel Farke of Norwich City may be planning to sell Jon Rowe to Leeds United this summer.

Even though the winger had a fantastic season with the Whites, Sky Sports pundit and former striker Don Goodman is not persuaded that he should have cost the Hammers the amount they did for his services.

The wide player from the Netherlands, who was transferred to Julen Lopetegui’s team for approximately £25 million plus add-ons, has joined Archie Gray at Elland Road in a high-profile departure. The Whites will be prepared to use a portion of this money to acquire a successor.

In all competitions, the Championship Player of the Year finished with 21 goals and 10 assists. With a 22-year-old winger of his caliber, clubs all around Europe, including the London Stadium, were sure to take note.

Although Sheffield United appears to be winning the fight for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Leeds has been in the running. As a result, Daniel Farke’s team will now need to concentrate on other possibilities out wide.

John Percy of The Telegraph understands that Leeds will begin talks with a £7 million offer for Norwich winger Rowe, but it’s anticipated that bid would be rejected.

immediately; this is because, according to Football Insider, the Canaries have set an asking price of almost £15 million for his services.

Negotiations for the player are still underway, according to Sky Sports’ Tim Thornton (Transfer Centre – 08/08/24) as the Whites try to increase the number of alternatives they have on the wings before the summer transfer window ends.

They are not the only team in this race, though, as teams from the English premier league and other teams are rumored to be interested in the 21-year-old.
