It looks to be a tasty matchup between two South Coast monster slayers on Saturday when Bournemouth hosts Brighton at the Vitality Stadium.
VIEW THE LIVE BOURNEMOUTH vs. BRIGHTON GAME
Following home victories over Arsenal and Manchester City and a draw at Aston Villa, Bournemouth suffered a dramatic 3-2 loss at Brentford prior to the half. Under Andoni Iraola, they are dominating, and they were unfortunate not to win at Brentford because their strikers squandered some excellent opportunities.
Fabian Hurzeler has made a significant impression in his first few months as Brighton’s manager, and the Seagulls just won a big game at home against Manchester City before the break. They have struggled with some serious injury issues, but the return of attacker Joao Pedro and summer acquisition Matt O’Riley is a great help. Bournemouth is only four points behind Brighton, who are tied with Chelsea for third place.

News and emphasis on the Bournemouth team
With Outtara, Sinisterra, Scott, and Semenyo all having trouble, Bournemouth’s attack is facing serious injury issues. Since moving back into midfield, USMNT captain Tyler Adams has been incredibly reliable, which is a big plus. With Evanilson in excellent form up top, Bournemouth’s high-pressing defense is very well-established and consistently generates a lot of opportunities.
OUT: Julian Araujo (thigh), Dango Ouattara (adductor), Alex Scott (knee), and Luis Sinisterra (hamstring) | Antoine Semenyo is questionable (knee).
Brighton team updates and priorities
It was amazing that Brighton defeated Man City without so many of their regular starters, and players like Dunk, Webster, Hinshelwood, and Minteh might be able to make a comeback this weekend. Attackers Danny Welbeck and Kaoru Mitoma have been outstanding, and O’Riley’s comeback from injury following his major summer transfer to Celtic provides them superb, direct running from central midfield positions. Joao Pedro’s comeback is also significant.
OUT: James Milner (thigh), Solly March (knee) | QUESTIONABLE: Adam Webster (hamstring), Ferdi Kadioglu (toe), Jack Hinshelwood (knee), Lewis Dunk (calf), and Yasin Ayari (ankle)
