The North Londoners have been trying hard to sign new players in recent weeks. Ange Postecoglou needs reinforcements to take his side to the next level, and a number of players have been linked with a move to Spurs.

The journalist has also claimed that the Cherries had been open to selling their star man, and Spurs have now won the race for his signature.

Castles tweeted said: “Understand that Bournemouth have agreed to sell Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur for a club-record transfer fee.”

What Solanke will bring to Tottenham

Solanke is a ‘wonderful‘ player, and he will be a great addition to this Tottenham side.

Spurs have missed a presence up top since Kane left the club for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. They don’t have anyone like him.

Solanke has been compared to Kane, and the Englishman will add a whole new dimension to Postecoglou’s attack next season if they can wrap this deal up.

The 26-year-old is fantastic with his back to goal, can link play up and is also an excellent finisher in front of goal. He’s a huge threat in the air too.
