SKY CONFIRM: Birmingham City Strike Deal with Sunderland for Salis Abdul Samed

Sky Sports has confirmed that Birmingham City have reached an agreement with Sunderland AFC for the transfer of Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed. The deal marks a significant move for the Blues as they aim to bolster their midfield ahead of the new season. While personal terms are yet to be finalized, both clubs have agreed on a fee believed to be in the region of £4 million.

Samed, known for his energy, defensive solidity, and composure on the ball, is expected to add much-needed steel to Birmingham’s midfield. The 24-year-old previously impressed in Ligue 1 with RC Lens before joining Sunderland last season. His potential arrival at St Andrew’s is seen as a statement of intent from Birmingham as they push for promotion.

Medical tests are scheduled in the coming days, and an official announcement is expected once personal terms are agreed and paperwork is completed.
