SKY CONFIRM: Leeds United Strike Deal with AFC Wimbledon for Matthew Stevens

Sky Sports has confirmed that Leeds United have reached an agreement with AFC Wimbledon for the signing of striker Matthew Stevens. The 26-year-old forward, who impressed last season with his physical presence and eye for goal, is set to join the Newly promoted premier league side in a deal believed to be worth around £300,000.

Stevens, who previously played for Forest Green Rovers and Peterborough United, enjoyed a strong campaign with Wimbledon, netting 12 goals and contributing significantly to their League Two push. Leeds see him as a valuable addition to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The move comes as Daniel Farke looks to bolster his squad with hungry, lower-league talent capable of stepping up. Stevens is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days, with personal terms close to being finalized. The transfer could be officially announced early next week.
