Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Leeds United are in negotiations with Sunderland AFC over a potential £4.7 million transfer for 19-year-old midfielder Jobe Bellingham. Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, has attracted interest from several clubs following his impressive performances in the Championship.

Since joining Sunderland from Birmingham City in 2023, Bellingham has made 85 appearances and scored 11 goals, establishing himself as a key player for the Black Cats. His development has not gone unnoticed, with Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace and Chelsea previously expressing interest. However, Sunderland have maintained a valuation of over £20 million for the young talent.

Despite the reported £4.7 million offer from Leeds, it remains uncertain whether Sunderland will entertain such a bid, given their higher valuation and Bellingham’s importance to the team. The midfielder signed a contract extension in August 2024, committing his future to Sunderland until 2028 .

As the summer transfer window approaches, the situation is one to watch, with Leeds aiming to strengthen their squad and Sunderland keen to retain their promising young star.
