SKY CONFIRM: Bradford City Agree £1.6m Deal With Halifax Town for Festus Arthur
Sky Sports has confirmed that Bradford City have reached an agreement with Halifax Town for the signing of defender Festus Arthur in a deal worth £1.6 million. The 24-year-old centre-back has been a standout performer for Halifax over the past two seasons, attracting attention from multiple EFL clubs. Bradford City have moved swiftly to secure his services as part of their summer rebuild, with manager Graham Alexander reportedly a long-time admirer of Arthur’s commanding presence and physicality at the back.
Arthur is expected to undergo a medical later this week, with personal terms already believed to be agreed. The former Stockport and Hull City man will bring both League experience and leadership to a Bradford side aiming for promotion next season. Halifax Town are said to be reinvesting part of the fee into strengthening their squad ahead of the new National League campaign.
