SKY CONFIRM: Barnet Agree £850k Deal with Huddersfield Town for Scott High

Sky Sports has confirmed that Barnet have reached an agreement with Huddersfield Town for the permanent signing of midfielder Scott High in a deal worth £850,000. The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Huddersfield, is set to become Barnet’s record signing as they look to build a squad capable of promotion from the National League.

High, who has previously enjoyed loan spells at Rotherham United, Shrewsbury Town, and Ross County, is seen as a major coup for Barnet. Known for his energy, work rate, and ability to dictate play from deep midfield, High will bring valuable EFL experience to the Bees.

The move marks a statement of intent from Barnet’s board as they aim to challenge at the top end of the table in the upcoming season. Talks reportedly progressed quickly, with personal terms agreed earlier this week. High is expected to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours before being unveiled at The Hive.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, are understood to be open to offloading fringe players as they reshape their squad following their relegation to League One. The fee could rise with add-ons, depending on Barnet’s future league status.
