SKY CONFIRM: “Nottingham Forest Vs Brentford” Match Not to be Televised Due to Broadcast Limitations

Sky Sports has officially confirmed that the upcoming Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Brentford will not be televised live in the UK. The decision stems from strict broadcast restrictions and scheduling conflicts that have impacted coverage options for the weekend’s fixtures.

Despite the match being of notable interest—particularly as both clubs battle to steer clear of the relegation zone—it has not been selected for live television due to the Premier League’s existing broadcast agreements. Only a limited number of matches can be aired each weekend, and this fixture did not meet the selection criteria based on current contractual obligations and audience metrics.

Sky Sports issued a brief statement: “We regret to confirm that the Nottingham Forest vs Brentford fixture will not be shown live on Sky Sports or other UK broadcasters due to scheduling and broadcast rights restrictions. Highlights will be available post-match.”

This decision has drawn frustration from fans of both clubs, especially those unable to attend in person. With a potentially season-defining three points on the line, supporters feel the match deserves wider exposure.

Forest fans were particularly hopeful of TV coverage given their strong home support and recent form at the City Ground. However, fans will now have to rely on in-person attendance, radio coverage, or post-match highlights to follow the action.

As always, fixture selections remain subject to broadcast agreements and cannot accommodate all matches live. The full highlights will be available via Sky and Premier League digital platforms after the final whistle.
