SKY CONFIRM: Coventry City Agree £1.6m Deal With Wrexham for Ollie Palmer

Coventry City have reached an agreement with Wrexham to sign striker Ollie Palmer in a deal worth £1.6 million, according to Sky Sports sources. The 32-year-old forward, who played a key role in Wrexham’s rise through the National League and League Two, is set to make the step up to the Championship as the Sky Blues aim to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Palmer, known for his physical presence and aerial ability, scored 12 goals in all competitions last season. Despite falling down the pecking order at Wrexham following the arrivals of new forwards, he remained a fan favourite at the Racecourse Ground. His move to Coventry signals a fresh challenge and an opportunity to prove himself at a higher level.

Mark Robins, Coventry’s manager, is believed to have pushed for the deal, seeking a reliable alternative to rotate with Ellis Simms and Haji Wright. The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days, pending a medical and final personal terms.

For Wrexham, the deal represents a significant profit on a player they signed for £300,000 in 2022, aiding their ongoing squad rebuild following promotion to League One.
