SKY CONFIRM: The Match between “Middlesbrough VS Norwich City” has been Rescheduled Due to Weather Concerns

Sky Sports has officially confirmed that the upcoming EFL Championship fixture between Middlesbrough and Norwich City has been rescheduled due to severe weather conditions affecting the Riverside Stadium. Originally set to take place this weekend, the match has been postponed following heavy rainfall and safety concerns raised by both clubs and local authorities.

The pitch inspection conducted earlier today revealed significant waterlogging, making playing conditions unfit and potentially hazardous for players and officials. In addition to the on-pitch issues, the surrounding areas have also been impacted by flooding, raising further concerns about supporter safety and access to the stadium.

Both clubs have expressed their disappointment over the postponement but agree that the decision prioritizes the wellbeing of fans, staff, and players. Middlesbrough and Norwich City will work closely with the EFL to confirm a new date for the fixture as soon as possible.

Fans are advised to retain their matchday tickets, which will remain valid for the rescheduled game. Further updates, including the new fixture date and time, will be announced across official club and EFL channels.

This is the second weather-related disruption to affect Middlesbrough’s fixture schedule this season.
