Nottingham Forest is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Leeds United to sign Wilfried Gnonto, as confirmed by Sky Sports.

Forest, aiming to bolster their squad in the winter transfer window, sees Gnonto as an ideal addition to their offensive lineup. The 20-year-old Italian winger has attracted considerable interest due to his impressive performances and quick, dynamic style, which suits Nottingham Forest’s tactical aspirations.

Gnonto joined Leeds from FC Zurich in 2022 and quickly made an impact with his speed and technical skill, despite Leeds’ relegation struggles. He made 24 Premier League appearances last season, and his ability to create chances and challenge defenders made him one of the team’s standout players. With Forest currently looking for reinforcements to maintain their mid-table position and push for a stronger finish, Gnonto could offer the extra edge they need on the wing.

Although the details of the potential transfer fee are yet to be disclosed, negotiations are reported to be progressing well. Forest is hopeful of finalizing the move soon, and securing Gnonto would be a promising step in their ongoing development under manager Steve Cooper.
