Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly reached an agreement with Leicester City for the transfer of Belgian center-back

Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly reached an agreement with Leicester City for the transfer of Belgian center-back Wout Faes, involving a player-plus-cash deal that includes Brazilian forward Richarlison.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have been seeking defensive reinforcements following an inconsistent start to the season, and Faes, who impressed at Leicester despite their relegation from the Premier League, is seen as a strong option to bolster their backline.

The reported deal is structured as a swap, where Tottenham will send Richarlison to Leicester City, along with a cash payment. This move could benefit both clubs: Spurs are aiming to strengthen their defense under manager Ange Postecoglou, while Leicester City, now in the Championship, could use Richarlison’s attacking prowess to boost their chances of promotion.

Richarlison, who joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 for a substantial fee, has struggled to consistently perform at his best during his time in North London. Despite flashes of his quality, injuries and competition for places have limited his impact. A move to Leicester might allow him to rediscover his form, especially as Leicester could offer him a starring role in their attack.

Wout Faes, on the other hand, has been a standout player for Leicester since his arrival from French side Reims in 2022. Known for his physicality, defensive awareness, and aerial ability, Faes has drawn attention from several Premier League clubs, but Tottenham appear to have secured his signature as they look to tighten up their defense.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days, with both clubs set to benefit from the exchange.
