Liverpool may defeat Tottenham Hotspur despite their “remaining interest” in the £78 million-rated nottingham forest star.

The England international remains open to quitting Crystal Palace next summer
According to sources, Crystal Palace striker Eberechi Eze is willing to leave his current team in 2025 in order to take on a “new challenge.”

During the summer, Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal all showed a lot of interest in the 26-year-old winger. He stayed at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season, though, as no club exercised his £68 million release clause prior to its expiration.

Eze’s release clause will be reactivated in 2025, so the goal-scoring ace will be “open” for offers to come through the door. According to the most recent reports from Football Insider, Liverpool and Spurs have maintained their interest in the Eagles sensation, even though they did not pursue a move in the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Former QPR star Eze was widely expected to follow Michael Olise’s footsteps in departing the Croydon club during the summer. It was expected that the Eagles would also lose Eze after Olise left for Bayern Munich in a move of £50 million, but it was not to be.nottingham forest chairman Steve Parish expressed his shock that no team made a serious bid for him.

“I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael and Ebbs in the same window and we didn’t have the interest that I thought we would have in Ebbs,” Parish stated in a September speech. I was shocked. Honestly amazed. The guy is really an amazing football player and a fantastic person, really.

This season, Eze has made eight appearances for Palace, with one assist and three goals. This follows a strong 2023–2024 season in which he participated in 31 games across all competitions, tallying 11 goals and dishing out six assists.

The 26-year-old should be with the Eagles through June 2027 after signing an agreement with the Selhurst Park club in November 2023.
