keeping a close eye on Norwegian wonderkid Sindre Walle Egeli, according to sources from HITC Sport. Newcastle United has now turned its focus to one of Norway’s hottest talents.

The 15-year-old forward gained notoriety at Sandefjord Fotball, the fourth-tier team in Norway, after netting 19 goals in his first 11 professional games, five of which came against Teie IF. His remarkable performance in 2022 earned him a transfer to title contender FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish top division, where he has since made headlines.

For their most recent UEFA Nations League set of matches, Erling Haaland and Egeli, who is now eighteen, were included in the Norwegian squad. Notably, he earned his senior debut in a disheartening goalless draw against Kazakhstan, but he hopes to lead his country’s line one day with Haaland.

Manager Peder Jalland has praised Egeli, who has a record of 32 goals in 35 games for Norway between the U15 and U21 levels, saying that he had talents he hasn’t seen frequently.

He said, “He is quiet and calm, works very hard, is very dedicated, and really wants to be a football player,” in response to Netavisen.

According to EuroSport, his manager Ståle Solbakken continued, “He is a notorious goalscorer.” He’s got a great left foot and an eye for goal. He uses somewhat distinct methods to score goals.

Egeli frequently uses his left foot to cut inside and score goals. Some local news sites have compared this talent to Arjen Robben, and the teenager is not flinching from the comparison. My growth over the past year has been really significant. I’ve played well when I’ve had the chance over the past two months and have grown a lot in confidence. I’ve demonstrated myself and scored several goals.

The forward’s impressive start to the season—he has scored three goals in his first seven games—has also led some Norwegian media outlets to draw comparisons between him and Haaland. Although Egeli is presently a right winger in Denmark’s top division, he is more than capable of starting at center forward and setting the tone for the team.

“My left foot is without a doubt my best ability. Given that I prefer to cut in and am on the right, you might argue that I’m somewhat like Arjen Robben, Egeli remarked.

However, I doubt that I am exactly the same as him.
