Due to an ankle injury, Dominic Solanke, a striker for Tottenham, has missed the last two games.
Since joining Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer after moving from Bournemouth, Dominic Solanke has not had a seamless transition.
The 26-year-old, who left Bournemouth in a record-breaking £65 million move, signed for the Lilywhites with the intention of filling Ange Postecoglou’s Harry Kane-sized hole in the lineup. In 38 Premier League games during the 2023–2024 season, he scored 19 goals and provided three assists, drawing attention with hisGoal scoring, output, playmaking in the link-up, and resilience.
In matchweek 1, Dominic Solanke made his Tottenham debut at the King Power Stadium in a 1-1 tie with newly promoted Leicester City. Unfortunately, an ankle injury has kept the center-forward out of the next two games against Newcastle United and Everton.
A sports scientist and physical therapist named Dr. Rajpal Brar has since updated us on Solanke’s injury status. He has verified that the Englishman’s ankle injury recuperation is doing nicely. After the international break, the striker should be back in time for the much awaited North London Derby against Arsenal on September 15.
Dr Rajpal Brar exclusively told Tottenham News, “It sounds like he is quite close to returning from his ankle setback and based on what Ange said, the medical team was being conservative with him to make sure he’s ready to go for some big matches following the international break.”
“Even if he didn’t have any injuries the previous season, any athlete can get hit, no matter their background.
It may take some time to recover from those contact injuries, particularly those to the foot and ankle.
“I anticipate that he will return to the mix after the international break.”
In order to guarantee that Solanke is prepared to contribute when the season resumes, the Spurs medical staff has concentrated on a rigorous rehabilitation regimen. Ange Postecoglou will be very happy to see the club transfer record signing return, as he believes the center-forward can repeat his strong play from the previous campaign.
On his formal Spurs debut against Leicester, Solanke did not score, but he did display some good on- and off-the-ball play. His presence up top made it possible for players like Son Heung-min and James Maddison to flourish in half-spaces and add extra skill in the closing minutes.
