Up-to-date rumors and chatter regarding transfers and speculations for Brighton and Hove Albion, as well as throughout the Premier League.

Brighton and Hove Albion are poised to extend their summer acquisitions with the possibility of bringing in Turkey’s left back, Ferdi Kadioglu, from Fenerbahçe.

Kadioglu, 24, is reported to have reached a deal on personal terms with Brighton, even though Manchester United, with their recent interest in him, are facing issues with Luke Shaw, England’s left back, due to injuries.Fabian Hurzeler, the head of Albion, is eager to fortify the left defensive zone while Ecuadorian player Pervis Estupinan is recuperating from an ankle operation, and Brazilian defender Igor Julio has been absent from the pre-season matches because of an injury.Valentin Barco, who lacks experience, is Albion’s primary choice. However, midfielder Carlos Baleba has also taken on the role of left back in the preseason and might be considered for that position in the Premier League’s first match against Everton this weekend.

Fabrizio Romano, an expert from Transafser, shared: “Ferdi Kadioglu’s extended contract with Brighton has been finalized and all the specifics have been settled. The player has confirmed that the terms of his deal with Fenerbahçe are complete, with the #BHAFC team having all the necessary agreements. He is eager to join the Premier League and is currently in discussions with Brighton to determine the transfer fee.”

Kadıoglu, who hails from the Netherlands, began his career with NEC during his youth and represented the Dutch youth teams until the under-21 level. In 2018, he joined Fenerbahçe. Throughout his time with the Turkish club, he has appeared in 147 matches and has earned 20 caps for the Turkish national team. The prospect of Kadioglu’s presence could boost Brighton’s summer revenue to over £150 million. So, to date, midfielder Mats Wieffer has joined from Feyenoord for £25 million, defender Brajan Gruda from Mainz for the same amount, and forward Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle for approximately £35 million. Additionally, Malick Junior Yalcouyé came in from IFK Gothenburg for £6 million, and Ibrahim Osman – who has since transferred to Feyenoord on loan – was acquired for £16 million from FC Nordsjaelland.

The Seagulls also hope to complete a deal for Leeds attacker Georginio Rutter for £40m and Paraguay international Diego Gomez from Inter Miami for around £12m.

Hurzeler, speaking ahead of the trip to Goodison Park, said: “First of all, I’m very happy with the squad we already have. It’s also our job to search if there’s any player who fits our profile, to our style of play.

“The character of the player is very important for us. If there might be a fit, we will see what happens, but to negotiations or to players we want to maybe see in our squad, I will never say anything.”
