Tottenham Hotspur may now run the risk of losing out to West Ham United in their pursuit of one of their major summer targets.

Now that Tottenham has completed their fourth signing of the window, they have had a successful summer of transfer activity.

Johan Lange was what Ange Postecoglou had been requesting, and Daniel Levy gave him a replacement striker this summer.

And with the arrival of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in what has turned out to be a major financial transaction, that is precisely what he has been given.

Postecoglou acknowledged that there is still work to be done at Hotspur Way before the deadline at the end of the month, so the construction is not finished solely for Spurs.

Spurs’ season opener is less than a week away on Monday night when they travel to Leicester City, so any more arrivals before then will need to be made promptly.

But the work is not done just there for Spurs with Postecoglou admitting their is more business to be done at Hotspur Way before the deadline at the end of the month.

It is now less than a week until Spurs kick off their season with their away trip to Leicester City on Monday night which means any further arrivals before then will have to be completed quickly.

However, there may be an issue with one of their targets as Manchester City held talks over him just last week.

West Ham United and Tottenham continue their discussions.
Although Tottenham has been able to make changes at several positions so far in the window, there seems to be room for improvement.

Fans won’t truly perceive Timo Werner’s return on loan as a new signing until January, when Yang Min-hyeok arrives in north London.

This season, Postecoglou will have to deal with playing in the Europa League, which will call for a strong team.

Additionally, if the last season is any indication, Spurs may deal with a number of injuries throughout the course of the campaign.

The Athletic reports that Manchester City, who was a serious contender last summer, had informal discussions with Eberechi Eze last week.

However, this does not imply that City has limited their search to simply Eze, as Pep Guardiola’s team is thought to have a variety of possibilities.

This summer, any team could find it difficult to overcome the massive £68 million release clause in Eze’s Crystal Palace contract.

Any team hoping to add Eze this summer will need to put up a significant amount of cash.Tottenham wants to sign Eberechi Eze this summer. Spurs have been in contact with the “incredible” Eze’s camp since February as they have attempted to work on a deal. However, given that they have already spent a significant amount of money on Solanke this summer, Spurs may find it difficult to pursue Eze given the terms of his release clause. Spurs may also face other challenges.Newcastle United is making offers to Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi. Palace will undoubtedly be anxious to keep Eze, as they have already sold Michael Olise and may soon lose Guehi.
