In light of Luton Town’s interest, Leeds United is allegedly seeking at least £10 million for former Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark McGuinness.

McGuinness, a commanding center back, was only in Hillsborough for half the season, but he won over Owls fans fast. He joined on loan from Cardiff City and made 24 appearances, all of which showed promise.

Fans pleaded for a long-term agreement to be reached, but McGuinness came back.to Cardiff and became one of the Bluebirds’ most important players. Wales Online claims that Luton is eager to entice the Arsenal academy graduate to leave Wales.

Cardiff is reportedly adamant that they don’t need to sell, but when big transfer prices are spoken, money talks. For Luton, who are returning to the Championship following a season in the Premier League, he would likely be a major coup.

Many would contend that the Hatters, having brought in a number of elite Championship players upon their elevation to the top division, are in a strong position to challenge for promotion.

They have only signed two players this summer, but they do have a highly regarded manager in Rob Edwards. Reuell Walters moved from Arsenal to the Hatters, while Shandon Baptiste came from Brentford.

Allan Campbell is available for trade to Luton Town, as Hibs and Aberdeen are both considering bringing the midfield player back to Scotland.

The 26-year-old spent the previous season on loan at Millwall before joining the Hatters in the summer of 2021, where he played a significant role in their memorable promotion win in his second season.

Campbell appears to be out of Rob Edwards’ future plans despite Luton’s relegation, as Football Insider has disclosed that they are prepared to trade the former Motherwell player in response to Aberdeen and Hibs’ interest.

The Allan Campbell move might work for everyone.
It’s safe to say that Campbell’s loan stint at The Den wasn’t as successful as expected, as he only made 12 appearances and his ability to contribute was limited by injuries. He also had a lot of terrible luck with injuries, especially during the last six months or so.

Before relocating to England, Campbell was a highly promising player in the Canadian north, a dynamic midfielder who could also score goals.

Luton made what appeared to be a wise decision, as he went on to play in the Championship more than 70 times in his first two seasons and was a member of the team that defeated Coventry City at Wembley.
