West Ham United push to sign Carlos Soler as new transfer update emerges
West Ham are “speeding up” a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler, according to El Desmarqure.
The Spanish outlet reported [12 August] that the Ligue 1 giants could let the 27-year-old leave for around £17.1million this summer, with the Hammers interested.
It is understood that Julen Lopeteui will need to allow one of his current midfielders to leave before the Irons can take any final steps in completing the transfer.

While Soler looks to be an interesting link at the London Stadium this summer, Lopetegui’s midfield options are already rather stacked, so it would be likely that either James Ward-Prowse or Tomas Soucek depart.
Guido Rodriguez has already been added to the squad, likely playing a backup role to Edson Alvarez in the middle of the park, and Lucas Paqueta has also been known to deputise away from the flanks.
