Transfer news involving Norwich City and Leeds United could be problematic for Celtic: Look at

The summer has been really interesting for Norwich City.

Despite Gabriel Sara’s sale, the Canaries have managed to hold onto the most of their starting lineup players.

Additionally, they have added players, as evidenced by the permanent signings of Ben Chrisene and Jose Cordoba, two players with high ceilings.

Also on loan from Manchester City, Callum Doyle has the potential to be a tremendous asset for the Canaries after playing a pivotal role in Leicester City’s promotion last season. This has put them in a decent position ahead of this weekend’s opening-day match against Oxford United, which will be Johannes Hoff Thorup’s first game in charge. After losing to Leeds United in the play-off semi-final in May, Norwich will be eager to make amends and secure a Premier League return, but that won’t be an easy task after Sara’s departure. There are still a lot of transfer rumors surrounding some of their current key players, and this noise isn’t ideal as they aim to start the season well. Jonathan Rowe is one player who could leave Carrow Road before the end of the summer transfer window. Jonathan Rowe linked with a move to Leeds UnitedLeeds are reportedly ready to offer £7 million for Rowe, who excelled for the Canaries in the 2023–24 season. The Whites and the Canaries are rumored to have held informal discussions about the England youth international’s possible transfer, and the Whites are now ready to formally express their interest in the player. Nevertheless, there is rumored to be a significant difference in the two parties’ assessments of the player, with Football Insider speculating that it will take at least £15 million to entice Rowe to leave Norfolk.

However, Daniel Farke’s team might have the money to successfully negotiate a move for the player as Leeds just sold Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United for more than £25 million.

The possible loss of Jonathan Rowe to Leeds United could hurt Celtic.
After making 19 appearances for the Scottish Premiership team while on loan in Glasgow during the second half of the previous season, Adam Idah has been linked to a summer transfer to Celtic.

At this point, though, Norwich is in a reasonably good negotiating position.

Firstly, the Republic of Ireland international may be a costly acquisition because his contract doesn’t end until the summer of 2028.

In addition, the Canaries have made a good living off of sales during the previous year or two, despite the departures of Andrew Omobamidele, Sara, and Max Aarons for sizable payments.

Galatasaray, a Turkish Super Liga team, reportedly paid £20 million or more for Sara alone. If Rowe departs, Norwich may be able to secure at least a further £15 million.

That might prevent Brendan Rodgers’ side from reaching an agreement for Idah and put Norwich in an even stronger negotiating position.

The Canaries don’t want to lose additional offensive firepower if Rowe departs, as they have already lost Sara.

That might mean that Idah stays at Carrow Road even if Josh Sargent does not leave the team.Although the Irishman’s departure before the end of the summer transfer window isn’t inconceivable, Thorup’s recent remarks suggest that the striker still has a role to play despite receiving discipline.

Rodgers’ team needs to be ready for the risk of losing out on their previous loanee. Losing out on Idah would be a huge setback, given how crucial his goal contributions were during the second half of 2023–2024.
