Two Tottenham first-team players set for exit as £8.5m signing arrives next week

Tottenham are looking to get in players but they’re also keeping an eye on players who want to leave.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso will leave Tottenham this summer, according to a report on Football.London, with Spurs looking to return to Aston Villa for Jacob Ramsey, who they value at around £50 million.

Spurs have already agreed to release Tanguy Ndombele, who was their record club signing, in a deal that included a tough decision where they had to pay him off. They have also taken the bold decision to renew Timo Werner’s contract for another 12 months, after which they can decide if they’re going to make the deal permanent.

As part of decisions to strengthen the team, Spurs are looking at Jacob Ramsey and Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher. The midfielder has insisted he wants to stay in west London, even though that decision might be taken out of his hands.

Last season, Tottenham started the season on fire, but once James Maddison got injured and his form deserted him, they struggled to hit the heights from the first half of the campaign.

Spurs have Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, and Oliver Skipp, who is looking for regular football next season, with Dejan Kulusevski also able to play in a deeper role. However, with Europa Conference League football to come, they’ll need more depth.

Swedish sensation set to arrive next week:Tottenham’s £8.5 million signing, Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden, is expected to arrive in north London next week to begin pre-season with the club. He is regarded as Scandinavia’s brightest talent and can give Spurs’ manager options in the midfield with his ability to play in an advanced role or deep.

Spurs showed incredible signs of progress under manager Postecoglou last season, and for the moment, many thought they could go on and challenge for the league title. Lack of depth meant they fell away, and the club is determined to address that in the transfer window.
