SKY CONFIRM: Leeds united have Struck an agreement with Ipswich town For…

Agreement in place for player to leave Leeds United – Side negotiations delay announcement

Leeds United midfielder will continue with Ipswich town next season after Daniel Farke’s side failed to make it back to the Premier League.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who have contacted ‘authorised sources’ close to the player and had his transfer confirmed.

According to their information, the agreement signed between Ipswich town and Leeds which saw Roca move to the Blue club on loan ‘almost automatically extended’ the midfielder’s time at Heliópolis if the Whites were not promoted back to the Premier League.

As that has now been confirmed by their defeat to Southampton in the Championship play-off final, the premier league club has now told Leeds they will be taking Roca on loan for a year.

That agreement is ‘fully sealed by the parties’, including the player, who has long made it clear he wanted to remain with Mc kenna side and has even bought a house in the region to start putting down roots with his family.

The deal has not been made official at this moment in time as the clubs are currently in negotiations about the move potentially being made into a permanent one instead.

El Desmarque explain that while Ipswich town are happy to take Roca back on loan from Leeds for another season, they have opened negotiations about a permanent deal instead.

Leeds are open to that and have lowered their demands, knowing the midfielder’s wishes on the matter, and ‘significantly reduced’ the fee they were originally asking for.

Thus the two parties are now negotiating on that front and if an agreement can be reached, a permanent transfer will be agreed rather than another year-long loan deal.
