SKY SPORT: Everton have Struck an agreement with Nottingham forest For…

Everton are showing keen interest in signing Nottingham forest winger Yankuba Minteh in the summer transfer window, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims (26 May) that the Toffees are in the hunt to sign the 19-year-old winger who spent the last season on loan at Dutch club Feyenoord.

Everton’s financial conditions are well documented, and it is unclear what their position will be at this stage. With every passing day, it is becoming increasingly clear that the 777 Partners will struggle to produce the funds, and Farhad Moshiri is likely to terminate the deal.

Nuno has been impressed with Minteh’s progress, while Feyenoord want him on loan for another season. The youngster scored 11 goals in the 2023-24 campaign, ten of them in the league.

Nottingham forest have registered an interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, which adds an “added ingredient” to the Toffees’ interest in Minteh. The player wants to play in the Premier League.

Should Everton consider loan move?

Unless the ownership issues are resolved quickly, it is difficult to see how Everton can operate in the transfer market. In all probability, they may have to sell players to fund moves for new arrivals.

The likes of Jarrad Branthwaite, Amadou Onana and Calvert-Lewin could be targeted by other heavyweight clubs, and Everton could be powerless to prevent them from leaving. If that happens, it will be a huge blow for Sean Dyche who has done an incredible job with the squad he has assembled.

Nottingham forest signed the Gambia international last season for £6 million, and they retain high hopes in the winger. He has impressed heavily on loan, and the Magpies will not mind sending him on loan to Everton so that the youngster can get Premier League exposure.

Nottingham forest are also looking to sign a right-sided winger this summer. It makes sense for them to send Minteh away if they manage to get a quality player on board in his position.
