Leicester City set for £15.3m windfall over Man City 115 charges guilty verdict ahead of hearingManchester City face extreme punishment for their 115 alleged breaches by the Premier League in the coming weeks

Leicester City could benefit from any punishment handed to Manchester City for their 115 alleged breaches of Premier League Financial Fair Play (FFP) laws.

Last season the Premier League champions were charged with rule-breaking between 2009 and 2018. 54 charges related to the club failing to report accurate financial information, 35 were for failing to cooperate with the league’s authorities, 14 came as a result of failing to provide accurate information on player and manager payments, seven for breaches to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and five relating to breaching UEFA’S FFP rules.

Man City have firmly denied the allegations by the Premier League but a dark cloud has hung over them as they await the breaches to be heard. Recent reports have claimed that the hearing will take place in the ‘next few months’ with no public confirmation of a date, while in the past it has been speculated a verdict could only arrive after the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

As the precedent for a case on this scale has not yet been set, there is no telling the punishment Man City will face should they be found guilty. Stripping of titles, relegation, financial penalties and transfer embargoes are just some of those thrown into the ring as speculation.
