Leeds United contract of Junior Firpo is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025

Junior Firpo will be sold by Leeds United in the summer.

Leeds United contract of Junior Firpo is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025. The Athletic claims that Leeds United will not be extending a contract to Junior Firpo. This Championship season, the full-back has made 17 appearances for the Whites and has five assists (all stats courtesy of Fbref). But as his contract is about to expire the next year, there are concerns over his future at Elland Road. The 27-year-old left Barcelona to join the Yorkshire team in the summer of 2021, but he has never been able to establish himself as a vital member of the team.

Before the team was relegated to the Championship in 2023, Firpo played 43 Premier League games in his first two seasons at Elland Road, starting 33 of them.Regardless of their league standing, Leeds is reportedly open to hearing offers for the player in the summer.Sam Byram’s contract expires at the conclusion of this season, but the club is pleased with his contributions since he returned to the squad in the summer. This can mean that, depending on Firpo’s future, a new contract is about to be signed.
