Let’s take a look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours as we look ahead to January.

Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnotta’s future has resurfaced after Italian media reports suggest the Whites could let the forward go in the January window.

After the Whites’ Premier League relegation last season, it was widely expected that the forward would leave Elland Road.

However, after submitting a transfer request in August, he remained in Daniel Farke’s team.

Farke, a former Norwich City manager, is aiming to get the Whites back into the top flight for the first time in years. At the time, Gnotta’s agent, Claudio Vigora, said: “We need to speak to Leeds and see what they have to offer, but I’m sure there will be other possibilities. The Premier League has been a great experience for him and I’m sure he wants to take it to the next level. But right now he’s focused on the national team.”

However, the situation changed when Farke confirmed that he had given Gnotta a second chance after the youngster had apologised for his behaviour before returning to training this week.

Farke told BBC Radio Leeds that he had met with the player at the start of the week to explain the situation and he had apologised for making a mistake.

He added that the player had asked if they could take part in team training and that they were ready to go.I decided to give him another chance and if he makes a good impression in training he will be considered for the team. I am always open to second chances for young players, but he knows there is no third time around. The ball is now in his court.

Due to the emergence of Summerville, James and Piroe, Gnotta has only made eight appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

The Italian international has 13 caps and has been linked with a January move to Elland Road, with Il Romanista reporting that he could be on the verge of leaving Elland Road.

The report claims that the Italian international could be let go for a price of £8,6m, and has named Everton, Serie A giants Inter, as well as Lazio and Fenerbino as potential destinations.
