Is Ipswich vs Leicester City on TV? Channel, kick-off time and live stream details

The latest Leicester City news as Enzo Maresca’s side are back in Championship action on Boxing Day as they take on second-placed Ipswich at Portman Road.

Leicester City have the chance to widen their advantage at the top of the Championship table further on Boxing Day as they take on second-placed Ipswich Town.

City make the journey to Portman Road just over 72 hours after coming out as 3-0 winners against Rotherham. Goals from Patson Daka (x2) and Cesare Casadei saw City take advantage of Ipswich’s 4-0 loss against Leeds earlier in the day and move six points clear.

Enzo Maresca will be looking to lead his side to a sixth straight victory in the Championship in what is the first meeting of the season with Ipswich, who have been on their coattails for the majority of the campaign. A win would also ensure that the gap to the chasing pack doesn’t close with both Leeds and Southampton eyeing an automatic promotion spot.

The festive calendar is a football tradition in the UK and City fans will get the chance to take in the game between the top two live on TV. Here is everything you need to know about following the match.

When is the game?

The game takes place on Tuesday, 26 December 2023 with kick-off at 7.45pm. The match is being played at Ipswich’s Portman Road with a sold-out away crowd of 2,004 City fans making the journey.

Is it on TV?

Yes, the game has been selected for live television coverage by Sky Sports. It will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football with coverage starting at 7.15pm following the Championship match between Birmingham City and Stoke City.

Sky Customers will be able to stream the game on their mobile devices via the Sky Go app.

Fans in certain territories will also be able to stream the game on FoxesHub with a £10 game pass. This is however not available to fans in the UK or Ireland.

How else can I follow?

Live commentary will be available on BBC Radio Leicester, while TalkSPORT 2 will provide national commentary.

LeicestershireLive will of course be a Portman Road to bring you the action and reaction before, during, and after the match. Our live blog will go live a couple of hours before kick-off.
