Edson Alvarez gives four-word response when asked if he’ll be fit for West Ham vs Wolves

West Ham United ace Edson Alvarez spoke to reporters after last night’s win over Freiburg, and responded when asked whether he’ll be fit to face Wolves on Sunday.

Edson Alvarez was absolutely superb for West Ham against Freiburg in the Europa League yesterday, bagging a goal and an assist during our 2-0 win.

The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Ajax in the summer transfer window for around £34 million, and he has already proven numerous times that he is the glue that holds this team together.

David Moyes will be delighted with the way that the Mexico international has started the season for West Ham.

Alvarez is absolutely vital to everything we do defensively, and his composure in possession allows us to play out from a back in an assured manner, when we attempt to do so.

His all-round performance last night against Freiburg was exceptional. We looked like a completely different team than we did on Sunday without him.

So with that in mind, it was somewhat of a concern when he was replaced by Pablo Fornals early on in the second-half. But will he be fit for the Wolves game on Sunday?

Will Edson Alvarez be fit for West Ham vs Wolves

The Mexico international was delighted with his contributions for the Hammers at the London Stadium last night.

Alvarez spoke to reporters after the match and responded when asked whether he’ll be fit to face Wolves, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“I will be there!”

Wow, that really is great news. Alvarez is a proper leader on the pitch for us.

Not only does he do all the dirty work, but the way that he shows for the ball for our defenders when they’re under the cosh really is very impressive indeed.

He showed that he has other strings to his bow last night, with a brilliant goal and a superb assist against Freiburg. He was the best player on the park until he went off as far as I’m concerned.

And it seems like David Moyes will be able to call upon Edson Alvarez for the West Ham vs Wolves clash this weekend. Great news indeed.
