Middlesbrough F.C. have struck a £2.1 million agreement with Stoke City F.C. for the signing of Sorba Thomas, according to reports from Sky Sports.
The 25-year-old winger is set to make the move to the Riverside Stadium as Kim Hellberg looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of Promotion. Thomas, known for his pace, direct running and delivery from wide areas, has been identified as a key target as Boro aim to mount a serious push for promotion.
Discussions between the two Championship clubs progressed quickly, with Stoke accepting a £2.1 million fee for the Wales international. Personal terms are not expected to be an issue, and the deal could be finalised in the coming days subject to a medical.
Thomas impressed during his time at Stoke, contributing with goals and assists while showcasing his versatility across the front line. His arrival would add creativity and width to Middlesbrough’s squad, addressing an area Carrick has been keen to improve.
