Central defender and winger also among Bournemouth’s targets as Andoni Iraola looks to build on strong start to the Premier League season with January investment; Cherries lost key players in the summer with Antoine Semenyo now the subject of speculation
Bournemouth are plotting more transfer business ahead of the January window as they look to improve Andoni Iraola’s squad – with a new goalkeeper among the list of targets.
The south-coast club had the lowest net spend in the Premier League this summer, selling key players to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool as well as making seven new signings themselves.
While the hierarchy at the club are happy with their recruitment and evolution of the team they want to add more to the group with a goalkeeper, winger and central defender all being identified as target areas in January if the right players are available.
Sky Sports sources have reported that AFC Bournemouth have reached agreements in principle for three attacking signings as the club prepares for a busy January transfer window. The Cherries, who have shown clear ambition this season, are understood to be targeting added firepower to strengthen their push in the second half of the campaign.
According to the report, Bournemouth’s recruitment team has been working behind the scenes for several weeks, identifying forwards who can immediately improve depth, pace, and goal threat. While the identities of the players have not yet been officially disclosed, all three are described as “bombers” – attackers with proven scoring ability and strong physical presence.
One of the deals is believed to involve a striker currently playing outside the Premier League, with negotiations said to be at an advanced stage pending a medical and final personal terms. The second agreement reportedly focuses on a versatile forward capable of playing across the front line, offering tactical flexibility to the manager. The third deal is understood to be a younger, high-upside attacker viewed as both an immediate option and a long-term investment.
Club insiders suggest Bournemouth are keen to complete the signings early in the window to allow the new arrivals time to settle quickly. Financially, the deals are said to fit within the club’s strategy of smart spending rather than marquee splashes.

If finalized, the trio of signings could significantly boost Bournemouth’s attacking options and signal serious intent as the January window approaches.
