Wrexham AFC is mourning the loss of club legend Arfon Griffiths, who has passed away at the age of 83. A true icon of Welsh football, Griffiths made over 550 appearances for Wrexham and also earned 17 caps for Wales.
Known as “The Prince of Wales,” he played a key role in the club’s historic rise during the 1970s, both as a player and later as manager. Under his leadership, Wrexham achieved promotion to the Second Division in 1978. His contributions to Welsh football earned him an MBE in 1976.
