SKY CONFIRM: Luton Town Agree £1.6m Deal With Crystal Palace for Kofi Balmer
Sky Sports reports that Luton Town have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for the permanent signing of defender Kofi Balmer in a deal worth £1.6 million. The 23-year-old Northern Irish centre-back spent the 2024–25 season on loan at AFC Wimbledon, where he impressed with his leadership and consistency.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Luton now making a decisive move to bolster their defensive ranks ahead of the next Championship campaign.
Balmer joined Crystal Palace from Larne in 2022 but failed to make a senior appearance for the Eagles. However, he gained valuable experience through loan spells and is now seen as a player with significant potential. Luton see Balmer as a long-term investment and believe he can grow into a key figure at Kenilworth Road. The move is expected to be finalised pending a medical and personal terms agreement.
