Football Insider reports that Nottingham Forest is preparing a last-minute bid ahead of the transfer deadline to acquire West Ham United midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

The City Ground team intends to capitalize on the bad circumstances surrounding the free-kick specialist at the London Stadium. It has been stated that Julen Lopetegui has not included the 29-year-old in his plans as a result of West Ham’s summer shopping binge.

In the last two months, the Hammers have added a number of players with an offensive mentality, and Carlos Soler of PSG is being considered as a potential midfield addition, so Ward-Prowse may not be in the starting lineup for long.

Football Insider claims that Forest and other Premier League teams have been made aware of the England international’s availability. The player was not included in Lopetegui’s starting lineup for the season’s opening two games.

The 29-year-old was not used as a substitute in West Ham’s victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, although he did make a 16-minute cameo in the team’s opening match of the season against Aston Villa.

With the acquisition of former Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer, Ward-Prowse appears to have fallen lower down the hierarchy at the beginning of the season.

Ward-Prowse and West Ham’s Exit Are Related

Football Insider claims that, just 12 months after Ward-Prowse joined from Southampton on a four-year contract, West Ham is suddenly “ready to sell.”

The 29-year-old, who had a great season under David Moyes, is no longer regarded as a vital member of the team following the appointment of Julen Lopetegui.

During the previous season, Ward-Prowse made 51 appearances for West Ham in all competitions, tallying 11 assists and seven goals.

According to reports, the Hammers hope to recover the £30 million they gave Southampton for the inventive midfield player last year. The player has a 2027 contract at the London Stadium.

The English midfielder may be substituted for Forest’s Danilo, who sustained a catastrophic ankle injury against Bournemouth on the first day of play.

After the Brazilian’s surgery, which is expected to cause him to miss at least 12 weeks of action, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo is already thinking about replacing the midfield player.

Casting a Shadow for Arnaut Danjuma

Football Insider claims that Nottingham Forest is preparing a last-minute move for former Tottenham and Everton attacker Arnaut Danjuma.

The Dutchman, who is currently at Villarreal, may soon receive an opportunity to return to the Premier League following two lackluster loan stints in England, when he only managed two goals in 23 games for the two teams.

The Holland international is anticipated to leave the La Liga team in the next few days, and he may soon be considered as a replacement for Eddie Nketiah, an Arsenal player whose transfer to the City Ground fell through last week.

Danjuma is eager to leave Villarreal permanently this summer and is open to a potential return to the Premier League, according to Football Insider.
