Manor Solomon, a wide player for Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly close to joining Leeds United on loan.
Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Solomon will have a medical this weekend before leaving the English capital for the whole season. Solomon only made six appearances for Spurs across all competitions in 2023–24, recording two assists but failing to score in any of these games. Given that the wide player didn’t get much playing time the previous season, it appeared likely that the Israel international would seal an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during this window.Largie Ramazani may have joined from Almeria for £10.2 million, but the Whites will likely need to add another wide player before the transfer window closes because both Jaidon Anthony and Crysencio Summerville have left the team since the end of the previous season. Summerville was a major contributor to the team’s top-three finish last season, so they will need to bring in a good enough player to replace him. It appears that he will be moving to Leeds, who need more options in two positions that he can play in.Georginio Rutter has also left Elland Road, leaving the central attacking midfield role. This is a huge blow for Leeds, given the impact the Frenchman had in West Yorkshire during the 2023–24 season. Although Daniel Farke’s team wouldn’t have wanted to lose the player, an exit clause in his contract meant the Whites were unable to stop him from moving to Brighton. Leeds United is getting close to signing Manor Solomon on a loan; the player is anticipated to have a medical this weekend. The Championship team will cover a substantial chunk of the player’s salary if he moves on loan to Elland Road, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post. After paying certain important players’ salaries, the team may be able to spend a respectable sum on salaries.
Spurs, who didn’t employ the Israeli much last season, decided he was surplus to needs, which is why he made this move.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s recent report, the player declined a transfer to Getafe in order to remain in England, and it appears that his wish will soon come true.
Leeds United could gain from adding Manor Solomon.
Throughout his career, Solomon has primarily played as a winger, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see him play wide at Elland Road.
He will, however, have fierce competition for a starting position.
Last night, Dan James scored, and this season, Willy Gnonto has already had an effect.
Ramazani might also be a great benefit, and Elland Road standards may rise as a result of the competition for wings, especially with Solomon arriving.
In light of this and his ability to play center, the 25-year-old Solomon might be a useful addition.
