Reported Celtic attacking target hands in transfer request
Reported Celtic attacking target Abu Kamara has handed in a transfer request to Norwich City. The 21-year-old came on for the Canaries in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn at the weekend but featured for only one minute.
Now, as reported by BBC’s Alex Howell, the attacker has handed in a transfer request to force a move from Carrow Rd.
It appears that there are a number of clubs looking at Kamara but Howell doesn’t cite any by name nor does he mention Celtic. Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider had reported the interest from the Scottish Champions a couple of weeks ago.
Celtic have already raided Norwich once this summer, signing Irish International Adam Idah on a permanent basis. The 23-year-old completed a move, worth £9.5m, last week before making his second Celtic debut in the win over Hibs.
Brendan has spoken about wanting three attackers, two first picks and one development player to supplement Kyogo and Idah. It would appear that Kamara would fit the bill as being one for the future.
The England U20 International has only made five first team appearances for Norwich but impressed on loan with Portsmouth last season, scoring 10 goals and assisting on 11 occasions.
