Crystal Palace have reportedly explored a deal to sign former Leeds United forward Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.

A raft of Premier League clubs have been linked with Nketiah in recent months, with speculation regarding his future having surfaced long before the summer window opened.

Everton, Fulham and Leicester City are among the clubs to have been credited with interest, while recent reports have suggested AFC Bournemouth would pay £25m for the forward.

However, they may have competition from Palace, who Sky Sports have claimed are interested in bringing Nketiah on board. The Eagles are said to be in the market for a forward, with Nketiah a potential option.

He found opportunities limited at Arsenal last season, in a continuation of his role as a squad player rather than a regular starter. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta afforded Nketiah just 10 league starts as the club challenged for the title.

Nketiah has spent the whole of his senior career on Arsenal’s books, although was loaned out to Leeds in 2019. Despite showing promise at Elland Road, he found himself behind Patrick Bamford in the pecking order under Marcelo Bielsa.
