According to HITC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have discussed a possible transfer for Porto striker Evanilson with the player’s agent.
Evanilson had a successful 2023–2024 season, making 42 appearances for Porto and scoring 25 goals, easily missing out on the Primeira Liga championship but making it to the round of 16 in the Champions League. Numerous Premier League teams have expressed interest in the player as a result of his successful season; according to HITC, these clubs include West Ham and Spurs in addition to Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Bournemouth.In their quest to find a successor for Dominic Solanke, the Cherries had their initial bid for the number nine turned down. HITC, however, suggest that West Ham and Spurs are also very much in the running to sign Evanilson, as both have held talks about a possible deal with the Brazilian’s entourage.

Evanilson signed a €8.8 million contract to join Porto in 2020 after leaving Brazilian team Fluminese. After returning on loan to the Serie A team, the striker played a breakthrough season for Porto in Europe in 2021–2022, tallying 21 goals in 46 games across all competitions.
The goalscorer may consider a move to the Premier League after being called a “player of great quality” by Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes prior to the Gunners’ Champions League matchup with the Portuguese team last season. The 24-year-old is reportedly a target for West Ham and Tottenham, who have already had initial discussions regarding a move with his agents.
Although neither team has made Porto a formal offer as of yet, both are trying to sign the player first. Although it is unlikely that Evanilson’s rumored €100 million release clause will be activated, the two London teams are anticipated to put the Dragoes to the test.
Even if he signed Niclas Fullkrug, Julen Lopetegui would want to bring in a younger forward to rival the German so he can let go of Danny Ings and Michail Antonio, who are becoming older.
As for Spurs, they are eager to add another attacking player to their roster in case Richarlison decides to leave for Saudi Arabia. Ange Postecoglou is rumored to be an admirer of Evanilson.
